Greasy atmosphere. Service was good howevee
Small place that's always busy. And that's because the food is good, affordable and quick.
Good food and reasonably priced. Lobster bisque was very good
Great for a quick breakfast before a hike. Good prices and a friendly staff.
Friendly staff.. fairly large menu..booths and regular tables... popular with the locals
Eh. I wanted this to be better than it was. I had the eggs benedict - it is my go-to breakfast. The hollandaise was separating and tasted mostly of butter, there was no lemony zest to it. The eggs were cooked okay, and they used real canadian bacon, so that was a plus. The atmosphere seemed more geared toward locals, we didn't feel particularly welcomed as visitors to the area. If we find ourselves in the area again, I think we'll skip this place.
Cold food, frozen veggies, overpriced, will never return.
Frequently eat here when in Williamstown. Friendly staff, great diner food, quick service.
Local traditional American diner. Nice food, good price.
Friendly down home diner with hearty breakfast
It's decent for a quick breakfast.
Great service an very friendly staff!! Food was delicious!!!
Nice quiet diner with a surprisingly large menu. This was along our route home from Americade and it was a blessing. Stopped in for breakfast and was not disappointed. Would visit again!
Adorable little place! A bit expensive for breakfast.

5 stars for the Best tomato cheddar soup!
Straight-up inexpensive townie diner. Friendly and earnest staff, quality food fairly priced. Get a griddled muffin. It's how I serve muffins now.
Fun experience w friendly service, good food and good prices. Get the t-shirt.
It has a good atmosphere.good for filling food
Well, there really must have been just the chef's hat in the kitchen, because my fried wings were frozen inside (and thus, squelched from outside as re-heated in oil - surely not fresh). Sandwiches looked good though..
Very nice little diner.
Love their breakfast food. Onions in the hash is not for everyone but I love it
Super friendly, great service, great food. We had breakfast. Just great all around service
Great breakfast spot. Good food, service & prices.
Good breakfast and speedy serviceI eat here a couple times in November. I can always count of fast and friendly service and good food. Keep an eye out for the specials :)
Good food, but not cheap eats as written by many others. Good service, but it could've been a bit better (they didn't tell us about the specials).Overall a good experience.
I will never return to this place! I strongly recommend you don’t waste time or money at this so called dinner. They got my order wrong three times! I was very nice about it until the last time I was a little frustrated at this point having already gone home and back... and the way one of the staff treated me after dealing with their mistakes was unacceptable! So in short my food was wrong every time and everything was under cooked. It’s sad because the chefs hat was once one of the best around but now one of the worst! I had a lot of people telling me not to go there because they had bad experiences but I wanted to give them a chance...
Great little diner/restaurant where you know that everyone there has known one another for decades. Also friendly atmosphere for tourists and non-locals alike. Good for groups (there was a ladies club there when we went), families, couples or singles.
Great breakfast and very friendly staff
Chet's is good.
Went here for breakfast this morning and we had a great meal. Service was prompt and pleasant and the food was really good.
Friendly Home style food and company!
Food is good expensive for a breakfast place though
Friendly service, good food, clean bathrooms, a gem of an establishment that harkens back to a simpler time. I would go again.
Amazing breakfast! Absolutely to die for. Friendly faces and great prices!!

Chefs hat is a cute diner with a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and quality food. The staff really makes you comfortable and gives the whole experience an at home feeling. The food is delicious and inexpensive. Definitely a must for a delicious breakfast or lunch!
The owner and staff are the best, always friendly and helpful. The food has always been delicious and service fast and courteous. We love the staff, and have been going to the Chef's Hat for years.
Cozy, relaxing atmosphere for traditional breakfast fare. Staff were personable and monitored the level in my coffee cup very diligently, which was appreciated.
food was excellent, hot and fresh. Waitress very attentive. Kept our glasses full, took our orders expertly.
It's a 45 minute drive from my house. But I make the trip, monthly. For two reasons. Food and Service.
